WEPC
AT DURHAM BULLS BASEBALL GAME
On
Sunday, August 8th, West End Presbyterian Church will
be headed to see the Durham Bulls baseball team take
on the Indianapolis Indians! To reserve your tickets,
you can sign up in the narthex on Sunday mornings or
by contacting Lynne in the church office (673-4341 x3
or lynne@westendpres.org
Here
are a few details:

Tickets are $9/each, and it is preferable to pay in
advance.

Game time is 5:05PM. You will be able to pick up your
tickets in the church office beginning Wednesday,
August 4th or following worship on the day of the
game.

We will be taking the church van. You can indicate
that you would like to ride in the church van when
you reserve your tickets. We can also help arrange
carpooling.

SENIOR
SUNDAY HONORS 2010 GRADUATES
This
year's high school and college graduates, were
honored with a breakfast at the Crawford Center
followed by recognition and congratulations during
the Sunday worship service.
Following
the service, the seniors joined Pastor Lyon in
greeting worshipers under the oaks and homemaid
ice cream was provided to all.
The
2010 High School graduates included Colleen Anne
Fleming, Kelly Elizabeth Godwin, Arrielle Jones,
Charlote Page McDonald of Pinecrest High and Gregory
Smith of Mauldin High, Simpsonville, SC.There
were four 2010 College graduates including Aaron
Fox, UNC at Charlotte, Paul Wilder Kline, Furman,
Hannah Whitmel Lyon, Davidson College and Travis
J. Shute, Elon University. |

WOW!
This afterschool program for the entire community, fondly
called “WOW!”, meets every Wednesday that
class is in session from 3-5 PM. Children have the opportunity
to be a part of a youth choir, share in weekly devotionals,
play lots of fun games, have free play, eat great snacks
and participate in a variety of Arts.Transportation
provided from West End Elementary School. Register by
calling the church office at 673-4341
VACATION
BIBLE SCHOOL 2010 (3 year old through fifth grade)
Coming
in June 2010! This year we will be having a “Galactic
Blast”! Our VBS kids will become cadets, voyaging
into outer space praising God. Through daily missions,
we’ll see space like never before, gain a new
perspective on our planet Earth, and learn easy “green”
earth tips that we can practice at home. This cosmic
combination of faith and fun will have cadets developing
a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
